Task Assignment Behavior Enhancement in Carton Break Rule

Overview

This enhancement improves how tasks are generated during wave processing by introducing better control over task grouping in the Carton Break Rule. Previously, waiting-for-replenishment lines and each-pick lines were assigned separate task IDs, which could lead to fragmented picking operations and reduced efficiency.

With this update, users can now combine these related activities into a single task for more streamlined execution.

Key Enhancements

  • Added a new option in the Task Assignment Behavior dropdown: “Combine Replen and Each Pick Lines.”

  • This option allows grouping of waiting-for-replenishment lines and each-pick lines, and generates a single Task ID for both line types.

How to Use:

Step 1: Navigate to the Carton Break Rule module, create a rule, and select “Combine Replen and Each Pick Lines” in the Task Assignment Behavior field.

Step 2: Create a Sales Order and auto-generate a wave using this rule.

Step 3: Once the wave is created, open the wave lines for each item individually by clicking on the search icon under the Action column.

Step 4: Observe the Task ID for the first item in the Wave Line Allocation subform.

Step 5: Now, view the Wave Line Allocation details for the second item. You will observe that both waiting-for-replenishment lines and each-pick lines are assigned the same Task ID.

  • This behavior applies only when the configuration is enabled

  • It is recommended to validate the workflow based on warehouse operations before enabling it in production

Shipping Notes & VAS Instructions Popup on Packing Page

A new enhancement has been introduced in the WMS Packing page to improve visibility and execution of special packing instructions.

What’s New

A popup message is now displayed on the packing screen to highlight:

  • Shipping Note

  • VAS (Value-Added Services) Instructions

This ensures that packers can clearly view and act on important order-specific instructions during the packing process.

Why This Matters

This feature helps reduce errors and ensures that all special requirements are followed before shipment. It provides better control and visibility for warehouse operations, especially for orders requiring additional handling or validation.

Key Use Cases

  • Add additional items or marketing materials Ensure promotional inserts or special items are included during packing

  • Record packing process Instructions such as filming or documenting packing can be followed

  • Fraud detection and order validation Based on order tags from external systems (e.g., Signifyd):

    • Orders with tag like “signifyd declined” can be identified and put on hold

    • Orders with tags like “signifyd approved”, “PayPal Eligible”, “Klarna”, or “Sezzle” can be processed for shipment

    • Supports future tags added during approval workflows (existing tags remain unchanged)

  • Region-based handling (e.g., EU shipments) Orders with destinations in specific regions (such as EU countries) can be flagged for review and held for customer confirmation

Additional Control

  • Packers can take action directly based on the instructions shown

  • Orders can be moved to Hold if conditions are not met or require verification

Support for Staging Area in ‘Allow Modification of Not Available Qty’ Configuration

A new enhancement has been added to the Allow modification of ‘Not Available’ Qty App Config setting.

What’s New

The Staging Area location type is now available as an option in the configuration dropdown.

When selected, users can modify the Not Available Qty for inventory stored in locations categorized as Staging Area through the Inventory by Location module.

How It Works:

Previously, quantity modification was limited to the selected location types configured in the setting. With this enhancement, users can now include Staging Area locations as part of the allowed location types.

This enables greater flexibility when managing inventory that has already been staged for packing, shipment, or temporary holding.

Use Case

If inventory has been moved to a staging location during picking or packing, users can now directly adjust the Not Available Qty for those items from the Inventory by Location screen, provided the Staging Area option is enabled in App Config.

Enhancement: Support for Multiple OLPN Palletization

A new enhancement has been added to the palletization process in WMS, allowing users to palletize multiple OLPNs (Outbound License Plate Numbers) onto a single pallet.

Overview

Previously, palletization could only be performed one OLPN at a time, requiring users to repeat the process for each individual OLPN.

With this enhancement, users can now:

  • Select and palletize multiple OLPNs together

  • Assign multiple outbound containers to the same pallet in a single operation

  • Reduce repetitive scanning and processing steps

How It Works:

During palletization, users can now scan or select multiple eligible OLPNs and associate them with a single pallet.

The system automatically groups the selected OLPNs under the pallet, making them easier to track, move, and ship as a consolidated unit.

Use Case

A shipment contains multiple cartons, each represented by a separate OLPN.

Previously:

  • Each OLPN had to be palletized individually

  • Multiple palletization actions were required

Now:

  • Multiple OLPNs can be palletized together in a single workflow

  • The entire shipment can be prepared more efficiently

Arrival Pallet Count Added to Misc Charge Conditions

A new field called Arrival Pallet Count has been added to the Misc Charge Conditions section within the 3PL Contract configuration.

Overview

Users can now configure miscellaneous charges based on the number of pallets received during inbound operations.

The newly added Arrival Pallet Count field can be used as a charge condition when defining billing rules in a 3PL contract.

How It Works:

When setting up a Misc Charge Condition, users can select Arrival Pallet Count as the criteria for applying a charge.

This allows the system to evaluate the number of pallets received and apply charges according to the contract rules defined for that condition.

Example Use Case

A warehouse charges customers based on the number of pallets received during an inbound shipment.

With the Arrival Pallet Count condition:

  • Charges can be automatically applied based on pallet quantities received

  • Billing calculations are handled according to the configured 3PL contract rules

Reason Code Added to Inventory Write-Off Process

A new enhancement has been introduced in the Inventory by Location module to improve inventory adjustment tracking and auditability.

Overview

Users can now select a Reason Code when performing an inventory write-off from the Inventory by Location module.

The Reason Code field has been added to the Write-Off Inventory popup and is available for both:

  • Single-line write-offs (via right-click action)

  • Batch write-offs (multiple records)

How It Works:

When initiating a write-off from the Inventory by Location screen:

  1. Select the inventory record(s)

  2. Right-click and choose Write-Off Inventory

  3. In the write-off popup, select the appropriate Reason Code

  4. Complete and save the write-off transaction

The selected reason is stored along with the inventory adjustment, providing additional context for the write-off.

LPN Splitting Based on Item Master Case Quantity Now Supports Assembly Operations

The existing LPN Splitting Based on Item Master Case Quantity configuration has been enhanced to provide greater flexibility across warehouse and manufacturing workflows.

Overview

Previously, this configuration was available as a simple Yes/No toggle and applied only during the Packing process.

The configuration has now been updated to a multi-select option, allowing users to choose where automatic LPN splitting should be applied.

Available options:

  • Packing

  • Assembly

Users can enable LPN splitting for:

  • Packing only

  • Assembly only

  • Both Packing and Assembly

Assembly-Based LPN Splitting

A new capability has been added to support the automatic creation of LPNs during Manufacturing Order (MO) production.

When Assembly is selected in the configuration:

  • The system checks the Item Master Case Quantity of the manufactured item

  • If a case quantity is defined:

    • The produced quantity is automatically divided into multiple LPNs

    • LPN creation is based on the configured case quantity

  • If no case quantity is defined:

    • The system follows the standard behavior and creates a single LPN for the produced quantity

Example

If a manufactured item has:

  • Case Quantity = 25

  • Produced Quantity = 100

The system automatically creates:

  • 4 LPNs

  • Each containing 25 units

This eliminates the need for manual LPN splitting after production.

Special Handling for “To Be Produced OLPN#”

A special exception has been introduced for production workflows that provide a To-Be-Produced OLPN# value.

When:

  • Assembly-based LPN splitting is enabled, and

  • A To Be Produced OLPN# is supplied

The system prioritizes the provided OLPN.

As a result:

  • Automatic LPN splitting is skipped

  • The entire produced quantity is generated under the specified OLPN

This allows users to maintain complete control when a specific output container is required during production.

A new enhancement has been introduced to improve print request tracking and ensure users explicitly select a print requester before performing receiving or packing operations.

Overview

A new configuration called Enable Print Requester Popup in WMS has been added under:

ERP → App Config → WMS

When enabled, users are prompted to select a Print Requester immediately upon opening supported WMS pages.

This ensures that print jobs generated during warehouse operations are associated with the appropriate requester.

Supported Pages

The Print Requester confirmation popup is available on the following WMS pages:

Receiving

  • Receive By Item

  • Receive By UCC

  • Receive Mixed Carton

Packing

  • Packing

How It Works:

When a user navigates to one of the supported pages:

  1. The Print Requester popup automatically appears on page load

  2. The user must either:

    • Select a Print Requester, or

    • Explicitly choose an empty value (if permitted by the setup)

  3. The selection must be confirmed before proceeding

The popup cannot be dismissed without making a selection.

Mandatory Selection Behavior

To ensure proper print requester assignment:

  • The popup does not contain a Cancel button

  • The popup cannot be closed using a close icon

  • Users must make a selection before accessing the page functionality

This prevents warehouse operations from proceeding without a defined print requester context.

Dependency on Xoro Print Services

The Print Requester configuration is only available when:

  • Xoro Print Services is enabled in ERP App Config

If Xoro Print Services is disabled:

  • The Print Requester setting is hidden

  • The popup will not appear on WMS pages

Configuration Changes

As part of this enhancement, the configuration location has been updated.

Previously

The page and module selection options were managed through:

WMS User Settings

Now

These options have been moved to:

ERP → App Config → WMS → Enable Print Requester Popup in WMS

This centralizes configuration management and allows administrators to control popup behavior at the application level rather than on individual user settings.

User Impact

Users accessing supported receiving and packing pages will now be required to confirm a Print Requester before continuing. This ensures accurate print tracking and a more controlled printing process throughout warehouse operations.

LPN Printing After Manufacturing Order Assembly

A new enhancement has been added to WMS to support automatic LPN printing after Manufacturing Order assembly operations.

Overview

Users can now print LPN (License Plate Number) labels immediately after a Manufacturing Order is assembled in WMS.

This enhancement streamlines the post-assembly workflow by allowing warehouse users to generate LPN labels directly after production completion, improving inventory tracking and handling efficiency.

How It Works:

During the Manufacturing Order assembly process:

  1. The Manufacturing Order is completed in WMS

  2. LPNs are generated for the produced inventory

  3. Users can now directly print the generated LPN labels after assembly

This helps ensure that the produced inventory is properly labeled and ready for:

  • Putaway

  • Inventory movement

  • Staging

  • Shipping or downstream warehouse operations

Use Case

After assembling finished goods through a Manufacturing Order, warehouse users can immediately print and attach LPN labels to the produced inventory, ensuring the items are ready for the next warehouse operation without additional manual processing.

Create Batch MO Option in MO Centre

A new option, Create Batch MO, has been added to the MO Centre, allowing users to group multiple Manufacturing Orders (MOs) into a single Batch MO for streamlined processing and warehouse operations.

Overview

Users can now select multiple Manufacturing Orders and create a Batch MO directly from the MO Centre.

This enhancement simplifies production handling and improves operational efficiency when multiple related MOs need to be processed together.

Validation Rules

The system performs the following validations while creating a Batch MO:

  • Selected MOs must be in:

    • Open, or

    • Released status

  • All selected MOs must belong to the same store

  • An error message is displayed if:

    • One or more selected MOs are already assigned to another Batch MO

  • An informational message is shown if:

    • The selected MOs have different Schedule Dates

Pick By Batch MO Option in Pick Module

A new toggle, Pick By Batch MO, has been added to the Pick module in WMS to support grouped picking for Batch Manufacturing Orders.

What’s New

When the Pick By Batch MO option is enabled:

  • The system displays a single grouped row for each Batch MO

  • Users can pick all related tasks together from one consolidated view

How It Works:

When a Batch MO record is selected:

  • All associated pick tasks

  • Across all related waves

are automatically selected by the system.

This eliminates the need to manually select pick tasks individually for each Manufacturing Order.

Important Behavior

  • Users cannot enable:

    • Pick By Wave, and

    • Pick By Batch MO

simultaneously.

Only one picking mode can be used at a time to ensure workflow consistency.

User Impact

Warehouse users can now process picking activities more efficiently by handling all pick tasks related to a Batch MO together, improving productivity and simplifying manufacturing fulfillment workflows.

MO Wave Picking Enhancement: Missing Item/LPN Handling with Quantity Edit, Revert, and Substitution Validation

Overview

An enhancement has been introduced in the MO Wave Picking workflow to enable the Missing Item and LPN handling process, which was previously restricted during picking operations.

This update improves flexibility during warehouse picking by allowing operators to handle missing items more efficiently while maintaining system validation controls.

Functionality

The following improvements have been implemented in the MO Wave Picking process:

  • The Missing Item/LPN flow, which was previously blocked, is now enabled during the MO Wave picking process.

  • Support for Revert Quantity has been introduced, allowing users to reverse previously processed quantities when necessary.

  • Support for Edit Quantity has also been enabled, allowing adjustments to picked quantities during the workflow.

Additionally, validation has been added to ensure proper substitution handling.

Important Validation

If sufficient quantity is not available for substitution while marking an item as Missing, the system will:

  • Display an error message

  • Prevent the action from being completed

This ensures inventory accuracy and prevents invalid substitutions.

How to Use:

  1. Navigate to the MO Wave Picking process.

  2. During picking, if an item or LPN cannot be located, select the Missing Item option.

  3. If substitution inventory is available, the system will allow the process to continue.

  4. If the substitution quantity is not available, the system will display an error and prevent the action.

  5. If needed, users can also:

    • Use Revert Qty to undo a previously processed quantity.

    • Use Edit Qty to adjust the picked quantity during the workflow.
