# Shopify Returns With Refund

### Overview

When a customer wants to return an item from a **fulfilled Shopify order**, the return is initiated through **Loop Returns**. The customer selects the item to return, provides a return reason, and chooses **Refund to original payment method** as the resolution.

Once the return is submitted, the return is sent to Xoro for processing. Xoro creates an **RMA** for the returned item, allowing the return to be tracked and processed. After the returned item is processed, the return is closed, and the applicable refund is recorded in Xoro. For a shipped Sales Order, the refund is processed through a **Credit Memo**.

### Workflow

**Step 1:** In **Shopify**, open the required order. The order must be **Paid** and **Fulfilled** before the customer initiates the return.

**Step 2:** Import the order into **Xoro** through the **Shopify Channel** and open the corresponding **Sales Order**. The Sales Order is in **Shipped** status, and a **Customer Deposit** has already been created and applied to the order.

**Step 3:** In **Loop Returns**, navigate to **Find an order** and search for the required Shopify order. Enter the order number and click **Search**. The matching order is displayed with the **Start Return** option. Click **Start Return** for the required order.

**Step 7:** Review the return details. Under **Credit options**, select **Refund to original payment method**. You can optionally select whether to refund the shipping amount.

In this scenario, the **shipping amount is not included in the refund**.

**Step 8:** Select the checkbox to acknowledge the return policy and click **Submit return**. The return request is submitted successfully.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.xorosoft.com/xoroerp-1/connected-apps/shopify/shopify-returns/shopify-returns-with-refund.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
