The LPN Attributes module allows you to enter or edit the attributes of the ILPN entered in the Scan ILPN page. LPN attributes are specific characteristics that identify and provide crucial details about an LPN. These attributes are essential for managing inventory, tracing product origin, and ensuring quality control.
In XoroWMS, you can define the following five attributes of an LPN:
Mfg date: This field allows you to enter or update the manufacturing date of the LPN.
Batch#: This field allows you to enter or update the production batch from which the LPN originated. This is invaluable for tracking product batches and identifying potential issues related to specific batches.
Lot#: This field allows you to enter or update the lot number associated with the LPN that further specifies the individual lot within a batch, allowing for even finer-grained tracking and control.
Expiry Date: This field allows you to enter or update the expiry date of the LPN.
Quality: This field shows the quality assigned to the LPN, if applicable. Users can choose the quality from the dropdown menu, which lists the predefined quality options in the system. Please note that after quality is set for the LPN, it can only include items that match the specified quality.
After making the necessary changes, click "Accept" to apply the changes and move to the next step in the receiving process.
By capturing all essential LPN attributes, you can ensure that each pallet is accurately documented and tracked. This helps eliminate errors, minimize manual data entry, and improve overall efficiency.
We understand that the LPN attributes may not be crucial for all businesses. Therefore, we offer the flexibility to skip the LPN Attribute module through the "Suppress LPN Attributes Page in Receiving" app config.
If this setting is enabled, the LPN attributes page will be bypassed entirely. Users will then be directed straight to the entry of the pallet, which can streamline the receiving process in scenarios where attribute tracking is not essential.
