How to Generate Credentials for Amazon-Xoro Integration?

Connecting your Amazon account with XoroERP can streamline your sales and inventory management processes, offering a central platform to manage orders, inventory, and customer data across multiple channels. By following the steps outlined below, you can easily link your Amazon store with XoroERP, ensuring efficient management of your e-commerce operations. This guide will walk you through the process of setting up this integration, from logging into your XoroERP account to generating the necessary credentials in Amazon and entering them into Xoro.

Before we begin with the guide, let's take a look at the different fulfillment methods offered by Amazon.

Amazon offers two different methods for sellers to fulfill their orders: Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) and Fulfillment by Merchant (FBM).

  • Fulfilled By Merchant: Fulfillment by Merchant, popularly known as FBM, allows sellers to list their products on Amazon and take on the responsibility of shipping orders directly to customers themselves. This means that sellers are in charge of the entire fulfillment process, from picking and packing orders to arranging shipping and delivery. By choosing FBM, sellers have more control over the entire fulfillment process and can directly interact with customers to provide a personalized experience.

  • Fulfillment by Amazon: Fulfillment by Amazon or FBA streamlines the fulfillment process by having sellers send their products to Amazon's warehouses. Once the products are received, Amazon takes over the logistics of picking, packing, and shipping orders to customers. This hands-off approach allows sellers to focus on other aspects of their business, such as marketing and product development, while Amazon handles the day-to-day fulfillment tasks. Additionally, Amazon manages returns and refunds for products fulfilled through FBA, easing the burden on sellers and providing a seamless customer experience.FBA stands for Fulfillment by Amazon. In this case, the seller sends their products to Amazon. They store them in their warehouses. When a customer orders one of their products, Amazon picks, packs, ships and tracks the order for the seller. Amazon also handle returns and refunds in case of fulfillment done by Amazon.

Connecting your Amazon Account with Xoro

To integrate your Amazon account with Xoro, follow these steps:

Step 1: Navigate to the "Sales Channels" in Xoro

To begin, log in to your Xoro account and navigate to the "Sales Channels" section. This is where you'll initiate the Amazon integration process. Click on "Amazon" to proceed to the next step.

Step 2: Log in to Your XoroERP Account

To proceed, you will need to log in to your XoroERP account using the provided "User Name" and "Password". These credentials will be provided by Xoro. If you haven't received them, you can request them by logging a ticket with Xoro support.

Step 3: Grant Access to Authorize Data Sharing

Before proceeding, you need to grant XoroERP access to your Amazon account. This authorization allows data exchange between the two platforms, facilitating seamless communication and data synchronization. By granting access, you agree to the terms of use and privacy policies of both XoroERP and Amazon, ensuring secure and responsible data handling.

Step 4: Enter Your Amazon Credentials into Xoro

This step involves providing XoroERP with the necessary credentials to access your Amazon store. You will be asked to fill in the following information:

  • Account Name: Assign a descriptive name to your Amazon account within XoroERP. This helps you easily identify your connected Amazon store.

  • App ID: This is the unique URL of your Amazon store. For example, it might be something like "https://mystorename.myAmazon.comarrow-up-right".

Generating Credentials from Amazon Admin:

To connect your XoroERP account with your Amazon store, you need to create a "Private App" within your Amazon Admin interface. This Private App will act as a bridge between the two platforms, allowing XoroERP to access and manage your Amazon store data.

Here's how to generate the required credentials:

  1. Log in to your Amazon Seller Central account and navigate to the "Apps" section.

  2. Click on "Manage Private Apps" to access the private app management section.

  3. Select "Create New Private App" to initiate the process of creating a new private app.

  4. You will be navigated to the β€œCreate New Private App” page on Amazon.

In the App Details section, enter a Private App Name and an Email.

  5. Next is defining the permissions for your Private App. You can grant "Read and Write" access to various sections of your Amazon store, enabling XoroERP to manage different aspects of your business. These sections include:

    • Customer Details: Manage customer addresses, order history, and customer groups.

    • Transactions and Fulfillments: Track and manage orders, shipments, and fulfillment processes.

    • Products, Variants, and Collections: View and modify product listings, including variants and collections.

    • Inventory: Access and manage inventory across multiple locations.

    • Product Listings: View and manage your product listings on Amazon.

    • Reports: Generate and access valuable reports related to your Amazon store.

  6. Once you have configured the permissions for your Private App, click on "Save". This action will generate the necessary API key, which you will need to enter into XoroERP.

Important Note: Treat the API key and password like you would any other password since whoever has access to these credentials has full API access to the store. Sharing these credentials with anyone other than Xoro support can compromise the security of your Amazon store.

Step 5: Enter Amazon Credentials into XoroERP

Now that you have generated the API key, fill in the Amazon credentials, including the App Share Secret, Consumer Key, and Password, into the Amazon Sales Channel App.

Sign in to the Amazon Sales Channel Account in Xoro, and your Private App will have access to your Amazon Store's data.

By following these easy steps, you'll have successfully connected your Amazon account with Xoro, paving the way for streamlined sales management, improved efficiency, and increased productivity.

The next step is to Configure the Amazon App Settings in Xoro
