Cancel Reason Module

The Cancel Reson module is designed to streamline the order cancellation process and enhance data collection. This module allows you to enter a reason that can be entered when cancelling a sales or purchase order. This facilitates standardized cancellation reasons, ensuring consistency across all cancellations. This consistency improves data analysis, allowing you to gain deeper insights into cancellation trends and identify areas for improvement.

Key Benefits of the Cancel Reason Module

1. Convenience: Creating cancel reasons in the system presents the users with a convenient dropdown menu that lists all created cancellation reasons when cancelling an order, eliminating the need for manual entry.

2. Time-Saving: By selecting from a pre-populated list of cancellation reasons, users save time and effort, reducing the overall cancellation process.

3. Accuracy: The Cancel Reason module ensures that cancellation reasons are accurate and consistent, reducing errors and inconsistencies.

Entering Cancel Reason

To enter a cancel reason, go to Menu > Admin > Cancel Reason

You can enter a reason for cancellation by entering the basic details for the cancellation reason, such as name, code, and description.

Cancel Reason Details Fields

Field	Description
Name	Enter the name or title of the cancellation reason.
Code	Enter a unique code to identify the cancellation reason.
Description	Enter a brief description explaining the reason for cancellation.

After filling in the details, click "Save" to create and save the cancel reason in the system.

Cancellation Process

Previously, when cancelling a sales or purchase order, users were required to manually input a reason for cancellation each time. This process often involved typing out the reason in a text box provided for order cancellation. However, with the introduction of the Cancel Reason module, we have significantly enhanced this experience.

Now, when cancelling an order, users will be presented with a convenient dropdown menu that lists all the cancel reasons created within the system.

Select the cancellation reason from the list and click "Ok" to cancel the order.

In cases where the desired reason for cancellation is not listed in the dropdown menu, users still have the option to enter a custom reason in the text box provided. To enable this feature, the "Disable Cancel Reason Textbox" app config should be disabled. When this setting is turned on, it will disable the cancel reason textbox, preventing users from entering a cancellation reason.
