Creating an item kit involves adding the items that you want to group together. By doing so, you can pull all the items in a sales or purchase order as a unit, instead of adding the items separately.
Item kits can be created in two ways mentioned below:
You can enter the information into the kit module and create a new item kit.
When creating an item kit, you'll begin by entering the basic kit details, such as the kit name, description, type, and cost. Once the basics are set, you can proceed to add items to the kit.

If you select the "Non Inventory Item", you will be prompted to select the "Price Calculation" method from these 2 options: - Auto Calculate: If you select this option, the price of the kit will be equal to the sum of all items contained in the kit. - Fixed Price: On selecting this option, the "Fixed Price Method" option becomes active. You can utilize the item's price (choosing from Standard Cost, Standard Price, or any Custom Price) or opt for the "Use Specific Price" option to input a fixed price for the item.

Kits can be used when the Multi UOM feature is turned on. Here's how kits are handled when used with Multi UOM enabled.
Items Added with Base UOM:
When items are added by kits in orders, they will be added using their base UOM. This approach standardizes the unit of measure for kit items, ensuring consistency across orders.
Fixed UOM in Order Lines for Kit Items
The UOM for items added through kits cannot be changed in the order lines. This restriction helps maintain the integrity of the kit structure and simplifies order management.
UOM Factor Set to "1":
The UOM factor for items added by kits is set to "1". This ensures that the quantity of items within a kit remains consistent and aligns with the base UOM.
