Upload Item Images- Different ways to link an Image to the Item

In Xoro, we have the ability to Apply Images to the SKUs. This can be achieved in several ways:

  • Batch Image upload using the Batch upload Product module

  • Batch Image upload using the Batch Upload Item Images module

  • Single Image Upload using the Item Centre

  • Multiple Images Upload through Product Centre Module

Initially, during the onboarding to Xoro, when you bring in the SKUs/Products into Xoro the images can be attached by filling in the “Image Path” column in the upload file. For details, refer to the steps mentioned below:

Batch Image upload using the Upload Product module

In Xoro, you can append the images to the item when doing bulk product upload. You can also use this option to update the product/item and add the images. Follow the steps below to upload the images using the upload products module:

Download the Product Master File

  • Pull up the “Upload Products” or “Upload Items” module (depending on whether or not you have variants enabled).

  • Click on "Download Template" to download the file to upload new products into the system. Download “Master Data File” if want to update and add images to the product. This file contains the details of the current products in the system.

Enter the image URL in the template

  • Fill the “Image Path” Column in the file. Here, you need to add the open URL of the image. To know more about uploading the products, click here.

  • Then, save the file.

Upload the template

Once you have filled the CSV file with your data, you can follow the steps below to upload it into Xoro:

  • Click Browse to select the saved CSV template file.

  • Then click on the Upload to apply the images to the product(s).

  • While the import is in progress, the summary of the progress will be displayed at the bottom of the screen with the progress bar.

  • After the import has been completed, the result will be displayed with the message for success or error (if any).

  • If there are errors in the file, you can download the error file, fix the errors in the original file, and upload it back into Xoro.

Alternatively, you can log in a Ticket for this and we will upload the images from the backend.

This will be done separately through the “Upload Item Images module”.

For this, you need to send us the images.

Please note that the Image name should be the same as the Item name defined in the Item Centre of Xoro.

We will first upload the images on our server and then copy-paste the image URL against the respective images in the uploaded image file.

Batch Image upload using the Upload Item Image module

If you wish to batch upload Images to the respective items that are added to the system, the best way would be to upload the images via the “Upload Item Images module”. Follow the steps below to upload the images using the upload item images module:

Download the Product Master File

  • Pull up the “Upload Item Images” module.

  • Click on "Download Template" to download the file to upload new products into the system.

Copy the information into the template

Once you’ve downloaded the template file, you can copy your data using any spreadsheet software. There are columns that you must complete and others that are optional. Mandatory fields are marked with a double asterisk (**) prefix.

Below are some points to be noted when entering the data into the template.

  • The file must be a CSV (Comma-separated values) file. The name of your file must end with csv.

  • Make sure you don’t change any of the column headings from row 1 in the template – these are needed for the file to import correctly.

Single Image Upload using the Item Centre

You might also need to add an image for a single item in case you have a new Item added in Xoro. In that case, you can add the item via the Item module instead of uploading it. To add an Image to the item, follow the steps below:

  1. Navigate to “Item Centre” and open the Item for which you want to update the image.

  2. Go to the “Other Attributes” tab and click on “Choose Image”.

  3. You will be prompted to select an image.

  4. The "Product Gallery" section displays all the images added to the product. You can select an image from here and move the image to the"Item Gallery" section using the downward arrow to append to the item.

  5. After the image(s) have been added to the item, you have the option to set one image as a default image.

  6. To do that, select the image and then click on "Set As Default". The default image will be displayed on the item.

  7. If you do not have any image(s) added to the product or you want to add a different image to the item, you also have the option to upload an image from your system.

  8. To do that, click on the “Folder” icon.

  9. Select the image from your system and click "Open".

  10. The image will be added to the item.

  11. Close this window and click "Save" to apply the changes to the item.
