The Country module is designed to facilitate the addition of new countries to your database. This functionality is particularly useful when expanding your client base to include customers from countries not previously recorded in your system. By utilizing the country module, you can accurately record transactions and manage client information, including addresses, from new countries.
Creating a Country
To enter a new country in the system, you will begin by providing the essential country details, such as the country name and codes.
Name: Enter the official name of the country, such as "United States" or "United Kingdom".
Iso Code 2: Enter the two-character ISO code, also known as the Alpha-2 code, associated with the country, which is a unique identifier for each country. For example, the Iso Code 2 for the United States is "US".
Iso Code 3: Enter the three-character ISO code, also known as the Alpha-3 code, associated with the country, which provides an additional layer of uniqueness for each country. For example, the Iso Code 3 for the United States is "USA".
Numeric Code: Enter the three-digit numeric code assigned to each country by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). This code is used for statistical and analytical purposes. For example, the Numeric Code for the United States is 840.
Phone Code: Entre the international dialing code for the country, also known as the country code. This code is used to make international phone calls to the country. For example, the Phone Code for the United States is +1.
After entering the details, click "Save" to create the new country. Creating a new country in the system allows you to record transactions, customer addresses, and other relevant information.
Country Header Level Options
Delete: This option allows you to delete the country from the system. Please note that you can not delete a home country.
