The Accounts Payable Aging report is an essential accounting tool that provides a comprehensive summary of a business’s outstanding bills, payment due dates, and the overall financial health of a company.
Upon selecting the AP Aging Summary option, you will be prompted to select a document template. From the "Select Document Template" dropdown menu, select the desired report to view.
When selecting a document template for the AP Aging Report, the following options are available:
AP Aging Summary (By Due Date): This template provides a summarized view of all payables due, organized by their due dates. It helps in understanding the short-term liabilities and managing cash flow efficiently.
AP Aging Detail (By Bill Date): This detailed report lists all outstanding bills, organized by the date they were issued. It offers a granular look into each payable, aiding in a thorough examination of what is owed and to whom.
AP Aging Summary (By Bill Date): This template summarizes all payables by the date the bill was issued. It is useful for organizations looking to prioritize their payments based on the age of each bill rather than its due date, making it easier to manage cash flows and vendor relationships effectively.
AP Aging Detail (By Due Date): A comprehensive report that lists all outstanding bills, sorted by their due dates. It provides an in-depth view of each payable, enabling precise cash flow management and prioritization of payments based on when liabilities are due.
The AP Aging Report offers filtering options based on various date ranges. By default, it displays data for "This Fiscal Year-To-Date." To view the report for a different period, simply select the desired timeframe from the options on the right side of the screen and click "Preview."
Additionally, you can choose a Custom period by selecting the "Custom" option, inputting the specific dates, and then clicking "Preview" to generate the tailored report.
